Hogs of War
Bringing Independent UK Music Into the Gaming World
Manchester Music Group (MMG) continues to push boundaries with its latest creative venture, Hogs of War Radio, an in-game radio station featured within Arma Reforger.
The concept was developed by Mr Jones and 4Zero, who not only curated the station but also wrote and produced a series of original, comedic in-game adverts to bring the experience to life. Working closely with the game’s modding community, the vision was fully implemented into the game, seamlessly integrating music and entertainment into the player experience.
Since launch, Hogs of War Radio has quickly become a fan favourite within the game’s thriving community, which boasts thousands of active members. Players can tune in while driving vehicles or exploring the map, creating an immersive and unique crossover between gaming and independent music.
The station features a full roster of MMG talent, with Mr Jones taking on hosting duties. The playlist showcases a diverse range of sounds from across the label, including music from Soul31, Harry Hench, Illerstate, Rowen James, and 4Zero.
In a move that keeps the station fresh and constantly evolving, Hogs of War Radio is updated every few weeks with new music. Independent artists looking to get involved can submit their tracks for consideration by emailing info@manchestermusicgroup.com, opening the door for even more talent to be featured in-game.
This innovative platform offers a fresh way for independent artists to gain exposure, placing their music directly into the hands (and ears) of an engaged global audience. While the plays may not translate directly into traditional streaming revenue, the impact is undeniable, giving artists the opportunity to be discovered organically in a completely new environment.
By blending music, gaming, and creative storytelling, Manchester Music Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to artist development and forward-thinking promotion.
And judging by the early reception, Hogs of War Radio is only just getting started.
